It is recommended to look for so-called starter sets. These typically include:
- Smoker,
- stick chisel,
- beekeeper jacket with veil and
- arm-length gloves.
The educational apiaries are well equipped, so the scope of a beginner’s set is appropriate and sufficient.
All other equipment (honey extractor, discovery dishes and forks, steam wax melter, mid-wall casting mold …) can either be purchased step by step by yourself or borrowed (for a rental fee) from the association.
